Background:
Steve has a strong sports background, including football, wrestling, track, body building, kickboxing, and competitive power lifting.
His experience with these various sports, and the associated training programs, has given him a well rounded fitness experience. The CrossFit program, which is a cross-section of the core exercises and conditioning programs which you would experience in these sports, is a program that Steve believes in.
His passion for the program translates into a trainer who cares about his members’ progress, and is happy to give extra help and attention to those who seek it. He is also known to give extra attention to those who DON’T seek it, especially when gym attendance starts to slip.
Steve has two beautiful daughters who he raises with his wife, Heidi, with whom he runs CrossFit Affliction.

Background:
With a background including body building shows, power lifting competitions, and law enforcement, the CrossFit system is a natural fit for Heidi.
In law enforcement, Heidi learned how important it is to maintain a level of functional fitness that will allow you to properly react to potentially dangerous situations. In her power lifting career, she learned the importance of proper form, which translates to the Olympic Lifting section of the CrossFit system seamlessly. Preparation for body building competitions taught her the effect that long term nutritional decisions and dietary programs have on both the physical form and its function.
Couple that with a history of participating in every sport she could, and her unique perspective on fitness in general translates to a trainer who is not only well versed on the textbook side of fitness, but can also tell you how it applies in real-life situations.
Thanks to the personal interest and one-on-one help that she is always willing to offer, the athletes in Heidi’s classes are second to none, and put up some of the strongest times in their WODs.
One of the few actual South Florida natives, Heidi lives in Hollywood with her husband Steve, and their two beautiful daughters Brooke and Jenna (who frequent the facility’s play center).
