    1. For some reason I always like seeing Mike B’s name high up on a board for WOD results. I think its pretty damned impressive when a man his age can not only keep up with guys much younger but actually wipe the floor with their asses as well. I wanna be like Mike!!!

    2. yeah, I don’t see my time!!! It was an excellent work out I loved it!!!!! My time was 8:46!!!

    3. Thanks for the compliments Nick. It was great to see such a big turnout.

    4. Yes ! From day one at Affliction Mike B. it’s been a great Inspiration and all my respect goes to you Mike !

    5. I was very impressed with everyone of our members. I was happy to see our guys doing excellent form on most of the exercises.
I seen Mike B pass over the finish line first in the first wave of athletes and felt like a proud papa. LOL
Sorry if I didnt post times this thing was a lot bigger than I thought.
The next one we do in Feb or early March will be a lot more organized and I hope to bring in coaches from out of the County.
Not that this event wasnt epic.
Got to give a lot of people credit

    6. steve, first I must correct myself… my time was 8:56! but this was not to brag or prove a point more to thank you and Heidi! when I started last February I was 27lbs heavier and more than overweight I was just a plain ole slug! my first day with you was half a filthy fifty with a 16 inch box and I’m pretty sure a 2lb kettlebell (haha) and it took me almost 30 minutes! now, I can complete the whole filthy fifty in about 20 someodd minutes!! What I want you to know is how proud I am of my accomplishments and my progress thanks to you and Heidi and your gym! without getting sappy you both made this previously 142lb 36 year old slug part of your proof of hard hard work pays off! I can not believe I can actually bench press more than a PVC pipe!! you put together a great competition and Afflictions dedication to crossfit and selfimprovement was more than obvious!!!

    7. Thanks Jessie for the kind words. Yep, I remember you coming in the very first day and speaking with you. You have come a long way and you should be proud of yourself because we are of you. Lifting heavy, running faster and kipping pull ups you would of said, “Yeah right” last year. Well keep on pushing hard and I promise I will keep on yelling (you know I love too).

    8. One other important aspect is looking for and finding mentors. It is easier to follow somebody’s steps rather thatn fighting and struggling by walking your own path. Unfortunately, in this industry it is very expensive – but in USA education is expensive anyway;)
